My job responsibilities: Plan, produce & report on law enforcement safety events produced for the community, social media, community engagement, grant writing, partnership liaison, Certified Helmet Fitter and Safety Seat Technician.
Why I joined the Coalition: As a pedestrian victim struck by a Distracted Driver in Orlando in 2018 with a one year recovery, I understand the consequences of another driver’s actions. I have a vested interest to ensure drivers eliminate distractions when driving. Teens are a very important category as they are new drivers.

2020-22, Pedestrian Safety Awareness-featured on several local news stations media coverage following me being a pedestrian victim struck by a distracted driver. WESH2, WFTV9, FOX35 with Bike/Walk Central FL.
FL Certified Helmet Fitter- have fit approx 5,000 bicycle helmets in FL.

Hobbies or areas of interest outside of work: At the end of a busy day I enjoy going home to my Whitetail Deer Farm to unwind in my deer pens. We have been in the Deer Farming Industry for three years. President of 7W Whitetails, LLC. I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, the beach and spending time with my family- husband of 34 years, 5 grown children and will have 7 grandchildren by the end of 2024.

What has changed most about driving from the time you were a teenager to now? Cell phones! They are such a distraction now.
The one tip I would give any new teen driver would be: Prepare for your travels in advance and eliminate any distractions.
