Mission

Empower high school students across Florida to become passionate advocates for safe teen driving. We engage, educate, and mobilize our community to develop and enhance teen safe driving programs and activities, aiming to reduce teen fatalities and serious injuries on Florida’s roads.

Vision

Create a culture of safe driving among Florida’s teens, where every young driver understands the importance of responsible behavior behind the wheel. We envision a future where traffic fatalities and injuries among teenagers are significantly reduced through effective education, collaboration, and advocacy.

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you want to help promote teen safe driving practices and save lives on the road?

What is the difference between a Student Ambassador and an Ambassador Board Member?

Joining the Ambassador Program as a Student Ambassador is open to all Florida high schoolers throughout the year, without the need for an application. As a Student Ambassador, you’ll have access to monthly meetings, newsletters, and early notifications about statewide opportunities.

On the other hand, applying to be an Ambassador Board Member involves a selective process where five high schoolers are chosen through applications and a virtual interview. The application deadline to join this program is September 13. Ambassador Board Members enjoy a more intensive leadership role, including travel, speaking engagements, and closer collaboration with the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition.

In essence, being a Student Ambassador offers membership, inclusivity, and regular traffic safety related engagements, while the Ambassador Board membership presents a more involved and impactful leadership opportunity.
