Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) is one intervention proven effective at reducing fatal teen crashes. GDL works by keeping novice teen drivers out of high-risk driving situations—such as driving at night—while giving them the opportunity to develop driving skills in lower risk situations. Teens and parents play an important role in the following and enforcement of Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) restrictions. We’ve assembled this helpful tip card to help educate teens and parents on the various provisions of GDL, and other relevant teen-related statutes. By supplying teens and parents with GDL Tip Cards, we increase awareness of teen driver related safety efforts. Anyone can contact us to receive these materials absolutely free!

Law Enforcement GDL Tip Card

Law enforcement plays a vital role in keeping our communities safe, including teen drivers. Sometimes, traffic departments may not be fully aware of Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) restrictions. To help, we’ve created this tip card to educate law enforcement officers on GDL provisions and other relevant teen-related statutes. By providing law enforcement with these GDL Tip Cards, we increase awareness of teen driver safety efforts. The materials are available for download, or agencies can request printed copies of the tip cards and other traffic safety materials from the Florida Law Enforcement Liaison Program.
