Why I joined the Coalition: I joined the coalition to help bridge the gap between the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and teen safe driving. I am working to bring our teen driver challenge back to our community. There has been a significant rise in teen driving fatalities in our community and I am working every angle I can to combat it.

Professional Accomplishments:20 years in Law Enforcement, Masters Degree- Criminal Justice Administration, 11 years as a Sergeant. Selection as FTO, K9, and Traffic unit. Teen driver Challenge program coordinator. Multiple high liability and general topic instructor certifications.

Hobbies or areas of interest outside of work: Avid Jeeper who loves the beach, dogs, travel and kayaking

What make and model was your first car? 1979 Jeep CJ-7

What has changed most about driving from the time you were a teenager to now? Drivers/society lack of concern for others on the roadway

The one tip I would give any new teen driver would be: Always expect someone else to make a driver error – Drive Defensively and Beyond!
