TikTok Safe Driving Contest Winners
The Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition partnered with AAA – The Auto Club Group to raise awareness during the 2021 observance of Teen Driver Safety Week, and host the first ever TikTok Safe Driving Contest. We asked teens across Florida to create and send us their best (and most original) TikTok videos on a variety of driver safety topics. The goal? To help educate and encourage safe driving behaviors among their peers and other drivers, regardless of age.
According to the CDC, motor vehicle crashes are the second leading cause of death for U.S. teens. About seven teens aged 13–19 die every day from motor vehicle crash injuries. Per mile driven, teen drivers aged 16–19 are nearly three times as likely as drivers aged 20 or older to be in a fatal crash. View the Teen Driver Fact Sheet to learn more about teens in Florida.
