My job responsibilities
Develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based injury prevention programs. Align prevention strategies with trauma registry data and identified community needs. Build partnerships with schools, EMS, public health agencies and community organizations Coordinate educational events, safety fairs and outreach campaigns. Represent the hospital on local and regional safety coalitions.
Why I joined the Coalition
As a trauma and ER nurse, I have seen the consequences firsthand of MVC’s and as an injury prevention coordinator joining this coalition allows me to shift from just treating the injuries to finding ways to prevent them from happening in the first place. It also allows me to collaborate and learn with individuals who are also working towards the same goal.

Experienced Trauma/ER nurse for over 18 years. Hired as the first Injury Prevention and Outreach coordinator serving the community for HCA FL Kendall, leading community safety and prevention initiatives
Interests outside of work
Thrifting, theater, music, and friends.
