My job responsibilities
Lead and manage an interdisciplinary team responsible for coordination, development, and implementation of all elements of the District Safety Program, including engineering, education and outreach, and industrial health and safety. Work with staff and the public to help implement treatments and initiatives designed to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes on our roadways.
Why I joined the Coalition
I believe that education and engagement of teen drivers is essential to our efforts to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes in Florida. Teaching new drivers to be safe drivers from the start is a great way to improve safety for all roadway users.
Professional accomplishments
Retired U.S. Army officer, combat veteran, PhD in History, Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and published author.
Interests outside of work
Collecting old books, college football, and travel.
Favorite song as a teenager
“Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey.
First car
Volkswagen Beetle.
One tip for new teen drivers
Do not speed. Pay attention to and abide by traffic laws and regulations.
