Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition

Member Bio

My job responsibilities
Coordinate and manage outreach efforts for the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition, including the “Weeks of Awareness” traffic safety campaigns at high schools across Florida.
Why I joined the Coalition
I joined the Coalition staff because I am passionate about young people and their safety. I believe in the importance of educating and equipping teens with the tools they need to be successful and safe as they navigate life.
Professional accomplishments
Throughout my professional career, I have earned numerous awards for my work with youth in the prevention arena. I served as a Site Manager for Florida AboutFace, sponsored by the Florida National Guard, where our site achieved “Top Program in the State” for two consecutive years. I also worked as a Job Recruiter for AMIkids Gadsden, assisting many young people in securing employment and enrolling in secondary education programs. Most recently, I served as the Dynamic Futures Team Lead with CareerSource Capital Region, helping youth establish career goals and make life-changing decisions.
Interests outside of work
Fishing, cooking, traveling, mentoring youth, and spending time with my family.
Favorite song as a teenager
“Po’ Folks” by Nappy Roots featuring Anthony Hamilton.
First car
1989 Nissan 240SX with a 5-speed manual transmission.
One tip for new teen drivers
Stay focused and never get too comfortable, because situations on the road can change in the blink of an eye.
