My job responsibilities: I implement and oversee prevention services; educate and raise awareness about impacts of substance use and healthy alternatives. I also participate in state-level committees to promote the necessity of prevention services/education across the lifespan.
Why I joined the Coalition: Substance use negatively impacts all drivers. I want teen drivers to feel empowered as positive role models for their peers and adults.
Hobbies or areas of interest outside of work: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. – I have been an active members since 1986 promoting scholarship and community service
What was your favorite song when you were a teenager? Rapper’s Delight by The Sugarhill Gang.
What make and model was your first car? Dodge Shadow
What has changed most about driving from the time you were a teenager to now? People are more aggressive on the road; always in a hurry.
The one tip I would give any new teen driver would be: Pay attention to the drivers around you.
