About the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition
We are a coalition of state and local agencies, educators, injury prevention experts, businesses, parents, teens, and law enforcement working together to reduce crashes, serious injuries, and fatalities on Florida’s roads. Guided by Florida’s Target Zero vision, we engage, educate, and empower communities with proven programs and resources.
Who We Are
Funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition is a statewide partnership dedicated to helping teens become safe, responsible drivers. Members include state and local agencies, law enforcement, educators, healthcare and injury prevention professionals, businesses, parents, and teens.
Our work focuses on practical programs and community engagement that strengthen teen safe driving. We align with Florida’s Strategic Highway Safety vision to build a lasting culture of safety.

Join the Coalition
We are looking for committed teen traffic safety advocates. If you want to strengthen teen safe driving programs and make a positive difference in your community, we would love to have you on the team as a member.
Member Expectations
- Attend at least 50% of the quarterly coalition meetings (two of the four) and actively participate.
- Provide assistance in overcoming barriers and solving problems.
- Offer guidance on future programs and activities.
- Serve as representatives of the Florida Teen Safe Driving Coalition in their communities.
- Volunteer to participate in one of the three strategic plan goal groups and serve as an action step leader to help ensure the successful implementation of assigned actions and activities.
Hotel costs for quarterly meetings are covered through our funding with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
